Ethno & Company AG has entered into a two-year partnership as a premium sponsor with professional skier Marco Odermatt. The six-time Alpine Ski Junior World Champion is now a brand ambassador for Nature Valley bars.
2018 – a year like any other?
As the obligatory 2018 year-end flashbacks are played on TV, I already know that living in Switzerland is like living in a dreamland: there have been no wars or famines and our country has a relatively low rate of unemployment. Of course, nonetheless the fate of individuals have a very real effect on me. But hand on heart, looking across national borders – let alone continental borders – things are generally very good for most of us here in Switzerland.
Start of the 2018/2019 season
The summer was long and yet it passed by quickly as it does every year. After some intense fitness training sessions, I was back on the snow for the first time on 23 July. A few days were spent getting a feel for the snow and skis again, then I took my first swings through the gates, did my first timed runs and then carried out the final touches for the start of the season in Sölden, Austria.
Marco becomes an ambassador for the Wings for Life World Run
What is the Wings for Life World Run?
2019 will see the sixth edition of the Wings for Life World Run. The motto is the same as before: we run for those who can’t. It’s not a matter of fitness at all. From absolute beginner to competitive runner, from wheelchair athlete to power walker: anyone is invited to be part of the run.
The goal of the event is to raise money for the Wings for Life foundation who expedites spinal cord research. One hundred percent of all entry fees go towards projects that all have one common aim: one day, there has to be a cure for spinal paralysis.
